Two Bimose Member Communities Recognized with 2026 Community Housing Recognition Awards

Two of Bimose Tribal Council’s member First Nation communities have been recognized nationally for their innovative housing projects.

Iskatewizaagegan No. 39 Independent First Nation and Niisaachewan Anishinaabe Nation were both named 2026 Community Housing Recognition Award winners at this week’s First Nations Housing Conference. The awards are presented annually by the First Nations Housing Community to highlight successful housing initiatives taking place across First Nation communities.
