Summary
Harvey Redsky Memorial School is accepting applications for a Tutor Escort for the Grade 6-8.
Duties
- Able to work one on one with a student
- Keep updated and organized student records
- Liaise with parents/guardians on student progress
- Maintain a good working relationship with staff
- Follow school policies and procedures
- Use of picture graphs and sign language
- Able to handle stressful situations
- Other duties as assigned by administration or supervising Teacher
- Patience is vital
- Willing to participate in professional development
- Reliable and consistent
- Must be willing to take training in Speech in Language
- Ability to utilize picture charts and basic sign language
- A clean criminal record and vulnerable sector check
Qualifications
- Post-Secondary Degree is an asset
- Grade 12 or equivalent
- Experience in Special Education
- Excellent management, planning and organization skills are required
- Experience teaching in a First Nations/remote setting
